Nissan NISMO has already provided fans with unprecedented access to its new LM P1 program through NISMO.TV and the NISMO University series, but is now taking this to a new level with GoPro Inc., the maker of versatile cameras and enabler of some of today’s most immersive and engaging content.
GoPro has been capturing Nissan NISMO and the journey of the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO from birth in the USA all the way to its world competition debut in the Le Mans classic in France next week.
As a collaborator to the Nissan NISMO LM P1 programme, GoPro’s award-winning in-house production crew have had unprecedented access to the build, development and testing of the ground-breaking front-engined, front-wheel-drive GT-R LM NISMO.
They will now have inside access again at Le Mans on June 13-14 to complete the story for a GoPro documentary film to feature on www.gopro.com from July this year.
Like the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO, GoPro’s reputation is built on defying convention, and it has used innovative methods with its ecosystem of products and software to capture amazing footage of the GT-R LM NISMO and the Nissan Motorsports crew in action.
“Having GoPro alongside Nissan NISMO for this journey has been great; they also want to push the boundaries every day,” said NISMO’s Darren Cox.
The GoPro logo will appear on all the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO at Le Mans and then on through the remainder of the FIA World Endurance Championship this year. “They’ll bring this amazing machine to a whole new audience through their documentary,” added Cox.
